Who we are
Paper Tales started to take shape in 2022 under the name Kooky Book Craft. Starting very small by attending local markets and selling (not very successfully) on Etsy.
We were lucky enough to be offered a small shelf in a space called East Street Emporium which began the start of our more formal retail journey. A year later, we found our own teeny tiny shop space inside SPARKS Bristol!
We will be celebrating 2 years with SPARKS in October 2025 where we hope to continue to grow.
What we do
We make literary-themed gifts and every day bookish items with a focus on sustainability and reuse.
We also stock products designed and made by local creatives and exclusively stock books written by local authors and storytellers.
We also organise and curate the Festival of Stories. An annual bookish event that coincides with World Book Day and celebrates local creativity in Bristol.
